To whom do you sell your products?

Wallkingdon glass sells to contract glaziers, glass shops, window manufactureres, property management companies, and residential shower doors and mirrors and so on. Please call our office for more information and pricing.

What do you sell?

We have a broad product line that includes: architectural glass, tinted glass, shower doors and enclosures, fire-rated safety glass, UV-bonded glass, screens, laminated glass, insulated glass, tempered glass, and much more.

Do you temper your glass or do you outsource it?

We temper over 99% of our glass in-house in our tempering oven. We are properly certified and have our ANSI, CFR, and SGCC tempering logo. We are a wholesale tempering fabricator as well as a custom tempering supplier.

What are your lead times?

Our typical lead times are listed below. These are the average times, please contact our office or email our production/operations department (info on staff page) if you would like a more accurate time from when you place your order. We offer the choice of making your order a rush for an additional charge, please contact our office with any questions. These times will be frequently updated when necessary. Please ask our office for confirmation of these.

· Annealed monolithic glass: 2-5 business days

· Tempered monolithic glass: 5-7 business days

· Annealed insulated glass: 5-7 business days

· Tempered insulated glass: 7-10 business days

· Shower Doors: 8-12 business days from start of production

· Heavy laminated glass: 2+ weeks

How long does it take to receive my quote?

When asked to write up a quote, it can take anywhere from 1 day to a week or more, depending on the complexity of the material and on the volume of quotes we've received. Please specify any deadlines you have upfront.

Can fogged windows be repaired?

Yes, fogged windows can be repaired. However, new glass will need to be installed. It's much easier and safer to use new glass rather than recyling the old glass. The costs are about the same and you'll have new clean glass. The old glass is stained and etched from the moisture through the years, so it will never be perfectly clear again. Plus, glass can become more brittle over time, so it's safter both for you and our installers to use new glass. We will not create a new IG using your old glass.

How much does it cost to repair a broken seal on a double pane window?

The cost will vary depending on what type of glass you use (clear, low-e, bronze, tempered, laminated, etc.) and on the size of the window. Labor costs are also a factor in determining how much it will be. Some windows are simple to replace the glass while other are tedious and delicate. The average cost for a glass replacement in a window is in the $120-$180 range. The only way we can quote you is by inspecting and measuring the window, which we will do at no charge for small quanitities.

How do you get moisture out of windows?

Realistically, you can't. Rather, you shouldn't. The moisture inside the panes will etch and stain the glass and saturate the desiccant that's in the spacer. There may be ways to cut the seal, dry out the space between the panes, and then seal it back up - but at that point the integrity of the window is gone. Unfortunately, the seals in windows will eventually fail and there is no way to prevent this. The only way is to replace the glass with new IGs. Schedule a visit with us and our Glaziers will measure the glass and explain the process to you.
